How the license works

Term

A license runs for a year from its first activation on any of your PCs (or from 12 months after purchase, if you never activate it), and every PC on the code shares that end date. Buy now and activate whenever you are ready.

Renewing

A renewal is another code, bought here. Enter it once, on any one of your PCs, and the others pick up the new end date by themselves. Renewing before the end adds the year on top of your current end date, so renewing early costs you nothing. AdFender reminds you as the date nears.

PCs

Your one code works on as many PCs at the same time as your plan covers — 3, 5 or 10. A PC beyond that is refused, never swapped in for one you are using: to move to a new PC, choose Deactivate this PC on the old one first. Need more PCs than your plan covers? Buy another plan and activate its code on the new PCs only — entered on a PC that already has a license, a new code renews that PC’s plan instead. The Small office plan is the same product for 10 PCs: each PC activates with the same code, support is by email, and there is no admin console.

PC replacements

A code can be used on up to twice its plan’s PCs over its life: 6, 10 or 20 different PCs, depending on the plan. Each renewal starts that count afresh, with your current PCs included. How many PCs one code covers has the details.

When the year ends

Your license expires unless you choose to renew; nothing is charged automatically. After it expires, AdFender stops blocking ads and trackers until you enter a renewal code.

Version

Activation codes are for AdFender 3.0. If you are running an older version, install 3.0 first.

Refunds

Not for you? Email support@adfender.com within 30 days of buying, from the address you bought with and quoting the order number from your receipt (or simply forward the receipt), and we refund it. A refund always covers the whole order, and every activation code on it then stops working on every PC that uses it. The refund policy has the detail.

After you pay

1. Your code arrives by email. An order confirmation from orders@adfender.com with your activation code, usually within a few minutes. It is one code for each plan you bought, whichever plan you chose.
2. New license? Activate it on each PC. With AdFender running, right-click its icon in the system tray and choose Activate license. Enter the email address you paid with and the code, and do the same on each PC with the same code. Step-by-step, if you want it.
3. Renewing? Enter it once. On any one of your PCs, open AdFender’s Settings and choose Manage license — or Activate license if your license has already expired — and enter the new code. Your other PCs pick up the new end date by themselves.
4. That’s it. Keep the email — you will want the code again if you ever add or move a PC. Lost it? Look up your order.
