Setup asks for administrator approval once. If you turn on HTTPS filtering, which we recommend, it installs a private certificate, unique to your PC, so AdFender can filter secure pages. What the certificate does.

What happens next
- Run the installer. Choose a language, accept the license, and choose who AdFender is for. Setup then asks whether to turn on HTTPS filtering: choose “Enable HTTPS filtering (recommended)” so AdFender can block ads on secure sites too.
- AdFender starts on its own. It sits in the system tray and filters Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Opera and other supported browsers from the moment it’s running.
- Browse. Your trial runs for 14 days with every feature available. When it ends, filtering stops until you activate a license; nothing is charged. Buy a license whenever you like. A license runs for a year from its first activation on any of your PCs (or from 12 months after purchase, if you never activate it), and every PC on the code shares that end date.
Already have a license?
Install AdFender, then enter the activation code from your order-confirmation email. Activation steps are on their own page. Reinstalling on a PC where AdFender was activated? Your license is picked up automatically after you install. Lost the email? Look up your order.
